Announcing Our Fellowship Program

Michigan Corps' platforms empower a new Corps of Michiganders to use the web to partner with one another on exciting social change initiatives. This new kind of service platform has already enabled countless Michiganders to lead and made a difference in communities statewide.

In the last year, Michigan Corps launched Kiva Detroit, the first community-organized microlending initiatives in U.S. history. To date, hundred of our Corps Members have nominated and lent $25 to a local Detroit business. Another Michigan Corps initiative, Detroit4Detroit, gives our Corps an opportunity to provide critical fundraising and programmatic support to a network of 150 non-profit projects throughout Detroit.  We've been energized by our growing Corps connecting with one another through these initiatives, which provide easy ways to lead change in ways that resonate with our daily lives.

Today, Michigan Corps announces the launch of our Fellowship Program, which extends an opportunity for dedicated fellows to support the growth of our modern engagement and social impact platform in service of Michiganders everywhere. As integral members of the Michigan Corps team, fellows will play a hands-on leadership role in advancing cutting-edge initiatives on behalf of our nationally-regarded organization.

Our first fellowship will support the growth and evolution of Kiva Detroit and will begin the fall of 2012. This fellowship is ideal for ambitious self-starters who are exceptionally organized and thrive on learning and being creative. We invite you to apply or spread the word! Moving forward, fellows will play a  key role in providing the Michigan Corps community with modern, innovative ways to unleash leadership as change agents in our great state.
