This week, Michigan Corps announced Kiva Detroit, an effort our network of Corps Members and staff have been leading since early 2011.
Kiva Detroit empowers Detroiters to lend to and champion the success of Detroit's small businesses. This represents Kiva's first locally-organized effort in the United States.
On Wednesday, Former President Clinton announced Kiva Detroit as the first "Kiva City" and highlighted Michigan Corps at the first Clinton Global Initiative America. Click here to view the video.
Yesterday, Michigan Corps unveiled Kiva Detroit at a celebration in Detroit's Eastern Market with the range of Detroiters, small businesses, and partners we have convened this year, including Kiva, Accion USA, and the John S. and James L. Knight Foundation.
