Welcoming Elizabeth Garlow to Michigan Corps

We're delighted to announce that Elizabeth Garlow, a native Detroiter and award-winning social change leader, has joined us as Director of Strategic Initiatives. Elizabeth will oversee our work to launch and lead social change efforts that bring Michiganders together in imaginative ways - and grow our community of "Corps Members."

We're especially excited that Elizabeth will lead the growth of Kiva Detroit, our groundbreaking microlending initiative that empowers citizens to source, lend to, and champion local small-business entrepreneurs.

Elizabeth has an impressive record of bringing people together to accomplish big things. While at ACCION USA, Elizabeth helped architect Kiva Detroit and transformed the organization's financial education program and Samuel Adams partnership into thriving, nationwide initiatives.

A graduate of Kalamazoo College and a student of collaborative change in Brazil, Argentina, and Italy, Elizabeth was recently named the Massachusetts' 2012 Home-Based Business Champion by the U.S. Small Business Administration. Read more about Elizabeth here.

Please join us in giving Elizabeth a hearty Michigan welcome!
